_To be
frank, dramatizing through songs was one of the topics we enjoyed the most
because it was not only significant but also funny and collaborative.
We consider that the activity was really good because even though the themes we used were not related to the topics of Didactics III, we could practice our closely language skills since we were able to make our own dialogues and perform them in the class when feeling so good while dramatizing.
Since acting is part of teaching, this activity showed us that everybody can be confortable rather than ashamed when acting. Self-confidence may be developed through this activity, and it is good to use music to motivate students. Also, this activity is excellent because students are able to work in groups and learn from their peers.
Dramatizing was a great topic in which we could experience new situations that sorrounds us in the real world outside the classroom. This means that we could get familiar with real day to day life situations and it made our classroom environment really funny; the teacher task was to be involved in the activity near the students so that they can create a great bunch of new experiences they share.
Indeed, dramatizing was one of the funniest and most interesting topics during the whole semester.
There are few things that interest students more than songs and drama!! but why?? It interests them so much because they are able to use their imagination freely. They are able to be someone else. Dramatizing is one of the best ways that we as teachers can use to make our students use the language without the fear of being corrected. It is important that we as teachers look for ways that may suit our students` needs and interests; therefore, we can use drama not only as a moment in which students may feel relaxed but also as a way that can help students to use and improve their language skills.
Finally, we can say that dramatizing through songs is a way that sometimes is forgotten by teachers, but it is important that we as new teachers may use to create a new learning environment in which our students may feel comfortable with all of them, even with the teacher per se. It is a good tool that we can use to gain our students` confidence and to build harmonious relations with them. Hence, we consider this one of the most significant topics in Didactics of the English Language III because it not only helped us to use our own language skills more freely and have a good time with our classmates but also can help us to better our own teaching style by using it in our own classes!!
